BISHOP, Texas — Efforts to stop drug trafficking thru South Texas are stepping up.
Today, the Bishop Police Department joined the Nueces County District Attorney's interdiction unit.
Bishop officers will receive more hands-on training about procedures to intercept the flow of drugs north and cash traveling south.
Robstown police and the Nueces County Sheriff's Office already belong to the unit.
And the Nueces County Precinct No. 3 and 5 constables will also join the interdiction unit soon.
