CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Many people enjoy Halloween festivities like going to haunted houses, but how about a whole Halloween village?

A local resident has created an elaborate Halloween village and this has gotten a lot of attention from nearby residents.

On the outside of the home of Felix Perez, you can find jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, and skeletons.

However, on the inside trick-or-treaters and parents are in awe!

That's because Felix Perez has worked very hard placing more than 600 pieces into his Halloween village.

Perez says many of his pieces are from out of the state to even out of the country.

Yet many works of art made by his very own hands.

Perez also says his Halloween village took him three in a half-weeks to place everything together.

“It’s amazing, it actually brings back the nostalgia of Halloween and the effort that we used to go to, and it’s amazing to be able to have the kids come and see it,” says nearby resident Valerie Garcia.

Perez says the reason why he makes such a great effort is because of the kids and to see them brighten up, he says makes it all worth it.

“But when I put this stuff together and I'm working on it, it really brings out the inner child in me and when I see the kids come in here and totally surprised because they have never seen anything like this before it makes it all worth it,” says Perez.

Perez says he's ready to get started on his Christmas display.
