ARANSAS PASS, Texas — An Aransas Pass homeowner is shaken up after five people broke into his home and got away with a large sum of money.

Police are searching for leads and are asking the public’s help to identify these suspects.

This happened around midnight overnight Monday on Oak Landing Drive, and police believe this was a targeted attack.

The Aransas Pass Police Department released surveillance video to social media. In the video, you can see the intruders force their way inside the home with guns pointed at the victims.

You can also see one of the victims with their hands in the air, while the suspects find money and take off.

“We're just hoping to get this information out we can pull in some leads and information especially with people walk how they carry themselves, the clothing they're wearing, the type of shoes, they're wearing, there are people out there that know these individuals,” said Aransas Pass Chief of Police Eric Blanchard.

Blanchard said these intruders were armed and even pistol-whipped a couple of the victims in the home.

Police say the intruders tied up all victims and Chief Blanchard says this could've ended a lot worse.

However, Blanchard says the victims are recovering from their injuries are will be patrolling the Oak Landing neighborhood.

“Anytime someone breaks into a house burglarize a house or something is traumatic as this, it's traumatizing and it's not just traumatizing for the victim it's traumatizing for the community,” says Chief Blanchard.

Police are asking that if you have any information to either contact Crime Stoppers or the Aransas Pass Police Department at 361-758-8477.
