CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One of the horses seized from a Robstown property last week has died.
According to the Nueces County Sheriff J.C. Hooper, the horse died while it was being transported.
Hooper says the horse was very sick and fragile and probably could not withstand the trauma of being relocated.
Another horse and a dog abandoned on the property as well, were safely moved to the local animal rescue.
The Sheriff's department said they were able to obtain a warrant to seize the animals on June 3 following the Action 10 News report.
An investigation is still underway.
