CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — You can believe that a mother was upset after someone broke into her car.
Vanessa Andrade was just about to buy some Christmas presents for her family, but now that money is gone.
Having someone break into your vehicle can be a stressful situation, especially around the season of giving.
Right before Andrade went to buy Christmas presents, she noticed that her car door and the glove compartment was open.
Her fiancée went to check the security cameras and found someone walking up to her car before 9:30 p.m. Monday.
This thief sits in the driver seat, then runs away with her wallet.
The thief not only stole personal information, but also the money Vanessa worked hard for that was going to be used for Christmas presents for her family.
“I’m just glad that it didn't happen when I was walking out," she said. "It’s just disgusting to know that somebody was actually in my vehicle.”
Seconds after the thief runs away from the driveway, a car can be seen zooming past her home.
Andrade has watched the security camera images repeatedly and has no clue who the person on camera could be.
She has a message for the person who committed this theft.
“Hope your mother is watching this, so she can see what kind of son she raised'" she said. "And God is watching, he sees everything.”
Andrade is seeking legal action, and a police report has been made.
If you have any information on this theft, call Crime Stoppers at 361-888-TIPS.
