The City of Corpus Christi says it will release water from the Wesley Seale Dam.
According to the City, Lake Corpus Christi continues to be near capacity at 93.8 feet elevation and additional water is flowing in from recent rains in the watershed. City officials will release water for the next 7 to 8 days in a controlled manner to offset the waters flowing into the lake.
This water release should not affect residents living along the Nueces River or cause flooding downstream. The goal is to balance the integrity of the dam, keep the reservoir at capacity, and minimize any flooding downstream.
