With the change in the Buc Days Night Parade, comes changes to a few B-line routes.  The Corpus Christi Regional Transit Authority announced those route changes today.

The parade will start downtown this year and move up Leopard to Staple Street.  The Staples Street Bus Station will close at 5 p.m. on Saturday for parade set up. The RTA is also cordoning a section of the sidewalk on Staples Street starting at their building corner on Leopard Street to the end of the bus station.  This is to offer reserved spots to B-Line Paratransit Riders to view the Buc Days parade.

The viewing area is in front of the Staples Street bus station terminal on North Staples from Leopard to Messina Streets.

“The CCRTA wants to give B-Line riders a safe and secure location to enjoy the Buc Day Parade with an unobstructed view,” states CCRTA CEO, Jorge Cruz-Aedo.

Wristbands are required and must be picked up before 6 p.m. this Friday at the RTA customer service center on the first floor of the Staples Street center.  A paratransit rider can get up to four wristbands. Call the customer service line in advance to reserve the bands.

RTA officials recommend riders secure transportation to and from the parade viewing area and to get there as early as possible.  They also encourage riders to take their own food.  RTA restrooms will be accessible to those with a wristband.
