More affordable housing apartments are coming to the south side of Corpus Christi. Construction is already underway, but a groundbreaking ceremony was held today at the Village at Henderson Apartments located at Staples and Lipes.
Developers are using a tax credit from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs to help fund the construction. And because of that, some of these units will provide affordable housing for those who qualify. Construction is expected to be completed by late October or early November.
