For the first time ever, the Texas General Land Office is offering a program that will allow victims of a natural disaster to recoup some of the money they’ve already spent to make home repairs.
“This was a massive storm, and there were a lot of people with a lot of out-of-pocket expenses,” Brittany Eck of the GLO said. “It is the first time a reimbursement program has been offered in the State of Texas for disaster recovery repairs to homes.”
