The City of Aransas Pass has issued a water boil notice tonight. According to the notice, the City is experiencing water pressure fluctuations in areas on the North side of town.
According to Fernando Quintanilla, Director of Public Works and Development Services, TCEQ requires the City to submit a water boil notice citywide as a precaution to the water pressure issues occurring today. The notice will be in effect until the proper pressure is stabilized for the entire City and flushing & bacteriological samples have been collected and come back negative from our water lab in Corpus Christi. At that point, the City will rescind the water boil notice.
In lieu of boiling water, you can buy bottled water or use another source of water suitable for consumption. If you have questions, call Michael Bonner at 361-758-3111.
