The Refugio Independent School District has decided to cancel classes today for the elementary school. Through a Facebook post, the school district says it is getting the campus cleaned and sanitized after a recent discovery of bats was found in the building.
The school district says it is utilizing professional sanitation services to ensure the health and safety of the Refugio Elementary school students and staff. The notice was not addressed to parents of intermediate and high school students.
