Tonight the local Police force just got bigger.  Over 20 Police Academy cadets graduated this morning.

Twenty-three members of the city’s 77th police academy have earned the title “police officer.”

The graduation took place at the Selena Auditorium.

This year’s class included six women.

Now comes the tough part, which is serving the community.

But many officers say it’s also the most rewarding part of the job.

“Being a police officer is probably one of the best things I’m ever going to do in my life,” new CCPD officer Taylor Brambila said. “Hopefully, I can live up to everybody’s expectations in how I serve this community.”

By the way, Officer Bramblia tells us he wants to become chief of police some day.
