David Davila murder case ends in mistrial again

Posted

The court declared a mistrial in the David Davila murder case today.  The trial began last Wednesday.

Davila was on trial for the murder of 13-year-old Alex Torres in 2015.

Torres was fatally shot when he answered the door of his home at the Treyway Apartments, 2022 Treyway Terrace.

Prosecutors argue Davila went to the apartment that night to shoot his ex-girlfriend and killed Torres by mistake.

A hung jury led to his first trial in September ending in a mistrial.

The accused getaway driver in the crime, Christina Trevino, pleaded guilty to retaliation.
