A power outage is affecting over 700 AEP customers in Corpus Christi this morning and has shut down a portion of Alameda, from Robert Drive to Eldon Drive.
The AEP outage website shows 771 customers without power near Robert Drive and Alameda Street.
A car accident around midnight last night is responsible for the outage, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department. Officers urge drivers to find an alternate route.
