Rollover accident shuts down northbound Highway 286 at Baldwin

A 19-year-old was critically injured after his SUV rolled several times on Highway 286, ejecting him from the vehicle.

The entire northbound side of Highway 286 was shut down for just over 3 hours while officers investigated and cleaned up the wreckage.

The accident happened just before 5:50 a.m. Officers said the man lost control of the SUV near the Baldwin exit, hit a guardrail and rolled over.

Drivers stopped to try and help the man but he was unresponsive when he was taken to a local hospital.

The condition of the driver at this time is unknown.
