The First Baptist Church is sharing the Christmas story in a unique way.  The local church is putting on a two-day live production of a walk-through Christmas Nativity on its front lawn.

The interactive event is Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the church, 3115 Ocean Drive.

More than 40 church members will be volunteering with behind-the-scenes operation or by dressing in character each night.

Crews have been preparing for four months to bring this inaugural event to the community.  Children will enjoy the chance to see live animals like camels.

First Baptist Church staged an annual Nativity drive-through in the past but stopped that tradition nearly 10 years ago. This year, the church leaders decided to revive the event.

Volunteers will also provide hot chocolate and cookies during the presentation. Each family attending will receive a Christmas tree ornament.
