Judge Guy Williams is set to be released from the Nueces County Jail and headed into a treatment facility.

Williams appeared before Bexar County Judge Sid Harle for a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Williams has been behind bars at the County Jail since his most recent arrest on Nov. 8, 2018.

He faces charges of driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Last week, Williams hired new legal representation. He hired attorney Chris Gale to defend him in court.

During today’s court hearing, additional details were released regarding the circumstances surrounding his arrest in November as well as another incident in June on a cruise ship.

Prosecutors described an incident where Williams allegedly assaulted a female who accompanied him on the cruise ship trip, as well as another man on the ship. The incident led to Williams being escorted from the cruise in Cozumel, Mexico.

Also in today’s court hearing, prosecutors said Williams was arrested at the female victim’s apartment complex. Prosecutors said the victim is the same woman who accompanied him on a cruise in June.

Police told prosecutors the female victim’s tires were flat and a search of Williams’ vehicle revealed three firearms inside the car as well as several knives.

At the end of Tuesday’s hearing, Judge Harle increased the bond amount from $1,000 to $2,000 and set Williams to be under house arrest. Williams will also be required to wear a GPS monitor while he is seeking treatment for PTSD. Williams also must surrender all his firearms to his lawyer and cannot consume alcohol or drugs.

After Williams is finished receiving treatment for his PTSD, he has to appear in court again to see if he has to use a breathalyzer to operate a vehicle. Williams also cannot have contact with the victim connected to the incidents back in June and November of this year.
