With temperatures dropping this week, the Salvation Army distributed blankets and warm beverages to those in need today.

Organizers from the Salvation Army also encourage homeless people to go to their shelter, which is located on 521 Josephine street.

“We are open arms to everybody, so we do encourage them to come in to our shelters and stay warm during these cold temperatures.” Said Monica Barrera, Community Relations Coordinator.

Barrera also encourages people to volunteer with the organization. There are several ways people can help around the community, donations are always welcome.
