Corpus Christi will have its newest dealership as North Corpus Christi Honda will stage its grand opening this afternoon.
The new business is at 3402 Interstate 69 access road, just south of Calallen’s Five Points.
The dealership is built on five acres and is in a prime locale to serve a growing aspect of Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend’s population. The new building will include more than 34,000 square feet and initially employ about 50 workers, company officials said.
“The Honda market is growing in South Texas,” North Corpus Christi Honda general manager Dan Ngo said. “Our prime location just off Highway 37 and Route 77 will make it easy for us to serve current Honda owners in Corpus Christi and the growing population on Calallen and vicinity.”
Dealer Principal Chris Zamora said the new dealership will be an important step for the Arizona-based company as it continues to grow in South Texas and throughout the state. The company’s first dealership was opened three years ago in Brownsville.
“We look forward to opening the new North Corpus Christi Honda dealership to better serve our customers,” Zamora said. “With the city and the Coastal Bend growing so rapidly, you follow the growth to make it convenient for your customers to visit.”
Zamora Automotive Group represents the Honda, Toyota, Acura, Nissan, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram auto manufacturers in four states.
