One person is dead after a major accident on U.S. Highway 77 late Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred on the highway near FM 34, just north of Bishop..
Sgt. Nathan Brandley, Media Communications for DPS, says a truck and a semi-truck collided. Brandley confirmed that one person is dead after the accident.
DPS troopers are heading to the scene.
Troopers recommend avoiding the accident area if at all possible.
