The Padre Island National Seashore is seeing the effects from Hurricane Michael.
The PINS posted to their Facebook page that the north and south beaches are closed and are expected to remain closed through Wednesday.
A Hurricane Warning has been issued for the Alabama/Florida border as the storm moves northwest at 12mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.
Hurricane Michael is a Category 2 storm and is expected to strengthen before making landfall as a major hurricane on the Florida/Alabama border. It is not a threat to the Coastal Bend.
