Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a firefighter?
This week, you can have the chance to see for yourself! It is National Fire Prevention Week, and as part of the tradition, the Corpus Christi Fire Department is hosting an open house to all eighteen fire stations.
People will get the chance to meet firefighters and learn the importance of fire safety. National Fire Prevention Week is nationwide and goes by this year’s slogan: “Look, listen, learn, and be aware, fire can happen anywhere.”
People are encouraged to stop by any of their residential fire stations. The open house will be held to the public on Wednesday, October 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
