A 28-year-old man is recovering after he was shot in the leg with a shotgun.
Corpus Christi police officers were called over to the 3100 Block of Elizabeth Street.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 28-year-old victim with a shotgun wound to the leg.
Police surrounded a home as paramedics transported the victim to the hospital.
Lieutenant Edward Longoria, with CCPD, said the suspect came out of the home and surrendered to police.
26-year-old Alvaro Medina was arrested. He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police closed off the area because of the incident.
Investigators added a fight led up to the shooting.
The victim had non-life threatening injuries.
