A Corpus Christi beach walker made an unusual discovery over the weekend.
Corpus Christi police officers received a call about a man who discovered drugs along the sand of the beach Saturday afternoon.
The man reported he found a bundle of marijuana in the 8700 Block of Gulf Beach Road.
Police arrived at the scene and determined the drugs had been there for a while.
Police confiscated the drugs and took the marijuana back to the police station headquarters. It was tagged as evidence.
Travis Pace, a Senior Officer with the Corpus Christi Police Department, said the beach-walker did the right thing.
“The best thing to do is not to touch it, he called the police so to dispose of it,” Pace said.
