A fatal one-car accident is forcing Corpus Christi Police to shut down several lanes of Interstate 37.
The accident occurred at 11:15 am on the interstate near Redbird Lane.
According to police, the driver has died. Several officers are working the accident but due to high traffic in the area, they are shutting down several southbound lanes.
Corpus Christi Police are asking for drivers to slow down if they are in that area.
