Corpus Christi schools will receive thousands of dollars thanks to some folks who got up early and went for a run.
The 3rd annual Hearts and Minds 5K took place at A&M Corpus Christi on the morning of Jan. 25.
The numbers aren't in yet, but more thanks 13,000 people ran in last year's race and it raised more than 53,000. Some of the runners were CCISD students.
