A popular Mexican food restaurant lands on the bottom of the Kitchen Cops report with a C.

Topping the list with a perfect score is the McDonald’s located at 6306 Saratoga.

Panda Express located at 6153 Saratoga scored a 100.

Popeye’s located at 5009 Greenwood scored a 100.

The Bar-B-Que Man located at 4931 IH 37 scored a 100.

Fisherman’s Bait & Seafood Market located at 1101 Laguna Shores scored a 100.

Hawaii Poke located at 5521 Saratoga scored a 100.

Earning a spot on the A-list with a 98 is Peter Piper Pizza located at 6193 Saratoga.

Sonic Drive-In located at 6417 Weber scored a 96.

Kuzina Lebanese Grill located at 3801 Saratoga scored a 95.

Wendy’s Old Fashion Hamburgers located at 4123 Staples scored a 94.

Cool Sips located at 5614 Mcardle scored a 94.

Gordo’s Soup-Er-Bowl located at 4506 Baldwin scored a 93.

Taqueria Acapulco located at 1133 Airline scored a 92.

Boat N Net #2 located at 4808 Kostoryz scored a 92.

Texas Mesquite BBQ & Grill located at 14457 South Padre Island Drive scored a 91.

Floyd’s Christian Restaurant located at 9502 South Padre Island Drive scored a 91.

Dropping Down to the B-list with an 85 is the International House Of Pancakes located at 5202 South Padre Island Drive.

Health inspectors found raw meat stored above lemons, insert pans needed to be washed thoroughly, employees need to wash their hands, hand washing sink were used for other tasks, employees were not wearing hair restraints or beard restraints, wiping towels were not stored properly, souffle cups were used to dispense condiments, dirty equipment and the area around equipment needed to be cleaned.

Only one restaurant made the C-list.

Cancun Mexican Restaurant located at 4252 Alameda scored a 78.

The restaurant lost points because eggs were kept at the wrong temperature, raw meat was stored above cooked food and vegetables, knives needed to be washed thoroughly, a dirty margarita machine spout, chemical spray bottles were near food, spray bottles were not labeled and left over food was not labeled.

Other violations include no thermometer, gnats, employees not wearing hair or beard restraints, wiping towels were not stored properly, food on the floor, food was not covered, bulk food containers were not labeled, employee restroom door must be self closing, no soap or towels at hand washing sink.
