Church’s Fried Chicken located at 4901 Greenwood scored a 100.

Edible Arrangements located at 5702 Staples scored a 100.

El Buen Amaya #2 located at 3154 Morgan scored a 100.

La Javita Mariscos #2 located at 9440 South Padre Island Drive scored a 100.

Papa Murphy’s Pizza located at 10241 Waldron scored a 100.

Sno-ball located at 3830 Baldwin scored a 100.

Taco Bell located at 1217 Waldron scored a 100.

Whataburger located at 602 South Padre Island Drive scored a 100.

Earning a spot on the A-list with a 99 is Wienerschnitzel located at 3555 South Padre Island Drive.

Cowboy’s Chicken N More located at 3250 Morgan scored a 99.

Wings Plus located at 6410 Weber scored a 97.

Garage Bar & Grill located at 15013 Northwest Boulevard scored a 97.

Julio’s Easy Stop located at 5945 Greenwood scored a 97.

Panjo’s Pizza Parlor located at 1320 Airline scored a 97.

To-Ce-Chi located at 4028 Weber scored a 96.

Taqueria Chapala located at 1237 Nile scored a 94.

Las Milpas #2 located at 901 Navigation scored a 92.

Astor Restaurant located at 5533 Leopard scored a 92.

Taqueria Jalisco #19 located at 4001 South Padre Island Drive scored a 91.

Bill Miller Bar B-Que located at 7102 South Padre Island Drive scored a 90.

Popeye’s located at 5701 Everhart scored a 90.

Dropping down to the B-list with an 89 is Subway located at 6101 Saratoga.

Violations include dirty soda nozzles, employees not washing their hands, chemicals near food, paper goods and silverware and no food manager on duty.

Taqueria El Potro located at 1401 Roddfield scored an 88.

Health inspectors found raw meat above vegetables, food was stored on the floor, chemicals were near food, spray bottles were not labeled, food was not covered or labeled, employees were not wearing beard guards or hair restraints, utensil with handle are needed to portion food, bulk containers were not labeled and the back door sweep needs to be repaired.

Taqueria Jalisco #18 located at 5358 Kostoryz scored an 88.

The taqueria lost points because products in walk in cooler were kept at the wrong temperature, spray bottles were not stored properly, leftovers were not labeled, employees were not wearing beard guards, wiping towels were not stored properly, styrofoam cups were used to dispense condiments and containers were not labeled.

Salinas Catering located at 2515 Leopard scored an 87.

Violations included peeling paint in the kitchen, toxic items near single serve items, an expired food manager’s card, no hot water in the restroom, a dirty fan grill guard and a bad odor in the restroom.
