CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Detectives need help finding the driver responsible for a deadly hit and run accident.
It's the Crime of the week.
Ernest Stephens was hit while walking across the 5200 block of Weber between South Padre Island Drive and Tiger Lane back on July 20, 2014.
Witnesses told officers a light-colored Lincoln Navigator hit Stephens.
The witnesses saw the Navigator park and a couple walk over to the victim.
They were described as a Hispanic male 5`9" -6`0" 250 lbs and a short Hispanic female with a ponytail.
Witnesses stated that as soon as sirens were heard in the area, the couple left.
