CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A couple gets caught on camera swiping jewelry now police need your help catching them.

It's the Crime of the Week.

Police have just released these surveillance pictures of the couple walking into a store located on the 2800 block of South Padre Island Drive.

The theft happened back on November 29, 2019.

According to detectives while the woman distracted the owner, the man reached over the counter and grabbed a tray of jewelry and left the store without any attempt to pay for the items.

The male appears to be a tall Hispanic slender male, wearing black button-down shirt, blue jeans and black rimmed eye glasses.

The female is described a short Hispanic female, wearing a light blue shirt, black sweater and blue jeans.

The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $2,500.
