The pandemic has provided a serious shortage of beds, supplies and blood for local hospitals.
Thomas J. Henry and the Coastal Bend Blood Center are partnering on a blood drive, particularly those who have recovered from COVID-19.
Beginning on Thursday, all convalescent plasma donors who participate at any Coastal Bend Blood Center blood drive location will receive a $50 H-E-B gift card courtesy of Thomas J. Henry, while supplies last.
“In these difficult times, we must come together and do all we can to take a stand against COVID-19,” Henry said. "If you are a COVID-19 survivor, your plasma can help make a difference in the lives of those battling this life-threatening disease. Please consider donating today.”
