Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi held a special celebration for graduating seniors toda.
A group of faculty members, staff, and alumni gathered on campus to cheer on the Class of 2020 one last time. It was all part of a drive-thru parade. Students were able to pick up their diplomas and a special gift. It was also an opportunity for them to celebrate their accomplishments as a class.
"I'm actually ready to walk the stage but obviously that can't happen right now," said Derrick Sullivan, a Communications Major.
The Islanders Class of 2020 will still get a chance to walk the stage. The spring commencement ceremony is currently scheduled for August 8.
