8:30 a.m. - Jim Wells county reports 17 new cases this morning, raising the total to 841.
8:15 a.m. -Brooks County reports 1 additional case today, raising the case total to 148. The county also has 6 deaths. 43 active and 99 recovered.
8/16 updates:
4:39 p.m. - Nueces County reported 120 confirmed positive cases and 46 probable positive for a total of 166 new cases reported on Sunday. It boosts the total of all COVID cases in the county during the pandemic to 17,044. The county has reported 816 patients hospitalized during the pandemic, including 231 currently in the hospital and 82 of those in ICU. Nueces County has also recorded 8,130 patients who have recovered from COVID-19.
4:21 p.m. - Nueces County officials have reported eight new COVID deaths, pushing the county's total in the pandemic to 287. The patients were all males with ages ranging in their 40s, 50s (2), 60s (3), 70s, and 90s. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension and diabetes.
8/15 updates:
11 p.m. - Nine new COVID-19 cases were confirmed late Saturday night in Kleberg County, bringing their pandemic-wide count to 489. The county had nine patients removed from isolation, keeping Kleberg County's active case count steady at 99. Kleberg County has recorded 143 cases during the month of August and 12 deaths during the pandemic. Testing will return to the JK Northway Expo Center in Kingville on Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
5:05 p.m. - A total of 351 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Nueces County on Saturday, upping the pandemic-wide total of cases to 16,878. Of those cases, 810 have required hospitalization, including 229 of those currently in the hospital and 85 in ICU. During the pandemic, 8,130 persons diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered.
4:10 p.m. - Nueces County officials have reported seven new COVID deaths, pushing the county's death toll in the pandemic to 279. The patients were a male and female with ages ranging in their 80s and 90s. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension and diabetes.
8/14 updates:
5:41 p.m. - Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales said Friday vehicular access will be restored Monday, but with seevral restrictions.
5:20 p.m. - Nueces County reported an additional 124 confirmed cases Friday. The county's total number of confirmed cases is now 16,527. Of those cases, 259 remain in the hospital and 102 are being treated in the ICU.
4:04 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting seven new COVID-19-related deaths on Friday. The patients are in their 50s, 60s, 70s and 90s, and underlying conditions include hypertension, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and diabetes. The county's death toll is now 277.
2:24 p.m. - 32 new cases confirmed in San Patricio county. They have a total case count of 1,114 with 903 recovered.
1:22 p.m. - Refugio County confirms three new COVID-19 cases in Refugio County. Refugio county has 58 active cases and 241 total. 179 Patients have recovered and their have been four fatalities.

8/13 updates
10:09 p.m. - Kleberg County and Kingsville reported four new COVID-19-related deaths, which brings their total up to 12. They also reported five new confirmed cases, foa a total of 476.
5:42 p.m. - Bee County reported 24 new cases Thursday, bringing its total reported number of cases to 669. The county has had 13 patients die of the novel coronavirus.
5:31 p.m. - Refugio County is reporting three new cases.
5:25 p.m. - Nueces county is reporting 169 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the county's total number of reported cases since March to 16,403. Of those cases, 259 are in the hospital, with 102 still in the ICU.
5 p.m. - Nueces County is reporting 11 new COVID-19 -related deaths in Nueces county Thursday. The patients ranged in age from 50 years old to in their 90s, and they suffered from underlying conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. The county is now up to 270 deaths.
3:07 p.m. - San Patricio County is reporting 31 new cases for a total of 1,082 total reported cases. Of those, 834 have recovered.
1:32 a.m. - Kleberg County and Kingsville reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday night. The county now has had a total of 469 confirmed positive cases.
8/12 updates
5:55 p.m. - Statistics released late Wednesday afternoon indicate 506 new COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed in Nueces County, pushing the pandemic-wide total locally to 16,234 COVID cases. County officials said that 798 of those patients have been hospitalized, including 264 currently in the hospital and 107 of those in ICU. The total number of recoveries in Nueces County during the pandemic is 7,698.
4:30 p.m. - Nueces County officials have announced 10 more COVID-19 deaths, pushing the local death total during the pandemic to 259. The lates fatalities included four males and six females with ages ranging in their 50s, 60s (4), 70s (3), and 80s (2). The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension, diabetes, coronary disease, and congestive heart failure.
1:56 p.m. - 46 new cases in San Patricio county raises it's total to 1,051. 4 more deaths have been reported. The county is now up to 30 deaths in total. 817 have recovered.
8/11 updates
11:45 p.m. - Kleberg County officials announced late Tuesday they have diagnosed eight additional COVID-19 cases, pushing the county's total during the pandemic to 459. Kleberg County currently has 131 active cases. On Tuesday, 124 individual tests were issued at the J.K. Northway Expo Center. Testing will resume there at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
6:01 p.m. - Nueces County officials announced 308 new COVID cases were diagnosed in the city on Tuesday, pushing the pandemic-wide total to 15,731. The latest report indicates 792 patients have been hospitalized, including 275 currently in the hospital and 114 of those in ICU. The total of recoveries in Nueces County during the pandemic is 7,550.
4:05 pm. - Nueces County officials have released six more COVID-related deaths in the county, pushing the death total during the pandemic to 249. The latest fatalities were four males and two females with ages ranging in their 50s, 60s (2), and 70s (3). The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure.
4:02 p.m. - Five new cases reported in Aransas county. They are at 182 total cases.
3:56 p.m. - 33 new cases confirmed in San Patricio county makes 1005 total cases. 802 of those cases have reportedly recovered.
8:30 a.m. - Officials have reported eight new positive COVID-19 cases in Refugio county.
Refugio county now has 98 active cases, 132 recoveries, and four fatalities.
8/10 updates
7:00 p.m. - Nueces County recorded 508 new COVID cases on Monday, pushing the pandemic total for the county to 15,423. Of the new cases, 457 have been cofirmed positive and 51 are probable positive. The county currently records 785 patients who have been hospitalized, including 278 currently in the hospital and 111 of those in ICU. County officials say 7,328 COVID cases have recovered.
4:50 p.m. - Seven more COVID-related deaths were announced Monday in Nueces County, pushing the local death toll during the pandemic to 243. The patients were five males and two females with their ages ranging in their 60s, 70s (5) and 90s. The comorbidities of the patients included hypertension, chronic kidney disease and obesity.
2:55 p.m. - San Patrico County reports 37 new cases, giving them 972 since the pandemic started. Of that total, 717 have recovered. There have been 26 deaths in San Patricio County during the pandemic.
8:10 a.m. - Brooks County reports 13 additional cases over the weekend. They have a total of 113 COVID-19 cases. 32 are active and 78 have recovered.
8:00 a.m. - Live Oak County reports seven new cases over the weekend. They have a total of 230 COVID-19 cases.
