CCISD resumes curbside meal service on Thursday

The Corpus Christi Independent School District will resume its curbside food delivery service on Thursday with the first day of classes.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all CCISD students. It will be offered from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the district's 10 middle schools and six comprehensive high schools.

Thursday's service will provide breakfast and lunch for Thursday and Friday.

And beginning on Monday Aug. 17, meals will be provided on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Monday's service will include meals for Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday's services will provide meal for Wednesday and Thursday. And Friday's delivery provides food for that day.

Students must be enrolled in the CCISD to receive these free meals. Student identification, such as a school-issued letter, email, student ID number or student ID card will be required to verify enrollment.

Once enrollment is verified, bar codes will be presented in order to receive future meals.

Parents or students are asked to take enrollment verification to their home campuses from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 12 to receive their bar codes.

Cafeteria staff will be available outside the front office area at each CCISD campus to expedite the process. Those who are signing up are asked to remain inside their vehicles while school staff assists each person curbside.
