CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The saying goes, one man's trash is another man's treasure. But in this case, someone's treasure may have ended up in the trash without them knowing it.

"You don't find things like that every day in a dumpster, at least I don't think you do,” said Ada Sanchez.

While on the job, Sanchez came back to throw the trash away, something she does daily.

But this time, something shiny caught her eye. When she went to look, she was surprised when it turned out to be an urn.

"I saw the purple so Ii went around to go look at it, picked it up, thought it was a vase but nope it was an urn," said Sanchez.

The urn was found at the Circle K gas station on SPID and Ennis Joslin. Sanchez says the brand new urn still has ashes inside.

"I was like ‘oh man how could someone do that?’ Like how bad did that person piss that person off to throw them in the trash,” said Sanchez.

The bottom of the urn has a sticker that says, 'exclusively made for memorials', but there's no name or engravings.

For now, Sanchez says she'll hold on to it, and hopefully someone will claim it sooner than later.

"Please come pick it up all I got to say I wouldn't want my loved one roaming around the world not knowing where they're at," said Sanchez.
