CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — You can brush your teeth twice a day, and still there may be that one tooth or teeth that need extracting.

And not even the dollar the tooth fairy would leave you could pay for its removal.

But this Friday, Dr. Baria Yassin is offering free dental extractions, to anyone!

“We see a lot of patients that come in that need to have extractions and they either don't have the means to pay for it or they don't have any type of money for that so we like to help out in any way that we can and if we can assist with basic dental care even better,” said Nelly Diaz, a dental assistant.

There's no catch. All you have to do is show up for the screening on November 8th between 9 AM and 1 PM.

“We will take x-rays just to make sure it is something that is needed,” said Diaz.

Dr. Baria Yassin has been practicing in Corpus Christi for over 20 years. Her dental assistant Diaz says she's offering free tooth extractions to give back to the people of South Texas.

Patients don't have to bring any money, insurance cards, or even an I.D. The only thing the dentist asks for is a list of medication if a patient is taking any.

“There's a lot of patients that unfortunately due to medical issues that they have, do not qualify to get extractions done,” said Diaz. “Some need to be premedicated.”

The free screening will be this Friday to evaluate each patients case, there they'll be given a special card to use when they come back on November 23rd for their extraction.

“You can’t just walk in and say, ‘I need to have a tooth pulled’,” said Diaz. “If you don't have the card unfortunately you can't be seen.”

The Family Dentistry by Baria Yassin office is located at 6500 S Padre Island Dr, Corpus Christi, TX.
