More than 100 green sea turtles that were stunned by the recent cold snap were released back to the wild Friday morning.
Most of the turtles were juveniles that were found cold-stunned and stranded on the National Seashore beaches earlier this week.
They were taken to the Texas State Aquarium's Wildlife Rescue Center where they were able to regain healthy body temperatures in the rehabilitation pools.
This morning they were transported to the National Seashore and returned to their natural habitat.
The release is part of an ongoing partnership between the Aquarium and the National Seashore.
