NASA astronauts Nick Hague and Andrew Morgan are continuing their spacewalk outside the International Space Station today.

You can watch all of the action online on NASA's YouTube account here .

The space walk began about 7:20 a.m. CDT and will continue into early afternoon. They are installing a new docking port today, Space.com reports .

Wednesday's spacewalk is the fifth of the year and it continues the work to help the space station prepare for upcoming arrivals over the next several months. SpaceNews reports that Hague and Morgan are installing the International Docking Adapter-3 (IDA-3) to Pressurized Mating Adapter-3 on the Harmony's module's space-facing side.

The IDA-3 will be the space station's second docking port that will accommodate the Boeing CST-100 Starline and the SpaceX Crew Dragon. These are two commercial crew spacecraft that are expected to arrive at the space station later this year.

It also is the first major space activity since the ballyhooed 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon, when interest in NASA and space travel rose to its highest levels in many years.
