If you are looking for a family event this weekend, head over to the Civic Center in Port Aransas.
The second annual “Be a Pall” holiday party will take place Saturday, November 24th.
The event benefits the Port Aransas Animal Shelter and the Emergency Services’ Toy Round Up.
For the last 21 years, first responders have been providing toys for families in need.
“We see them at their worst, and we see them in the conditions they live in sometimes, and we know the struggles they go through. So this is kind of, what can we do to alleviate some of that,” Paramedic Edwardo Jimenez.
Last year, Port A Low Life joined their efforts by hosting the event, raising nearly $3,000.
Their goal this year is $10,000.
The event kicks off at 4 p.m. and continues until midnight.
There will be activities for kids, music, food and Santa will make an appearance.
Families have until December 1, to apply for the program. Applications are available at city hall.
