LOS ANGELES– (AP) – Stan Lee, the man who created many legendary comic book heroes died Monday morning, according to TMZ.
The website reports Stan Lee was taken to the hospital Monday morning where he died. It adds Lee had been battling pneumonia and vision problems during recent weeks.
He was 95.
Lee is best-known for co-founding Marvel Comics, one of the largest comic book publishers in the world.
He is credited with helping create some of the most popular characters, including Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Black Panter and X-Men.
And along with collaborator Larry Lieber, Lee helped develop Ant-Man, Iron-Man and Thor.
