The Dallas Cowboys are taking advantage of the fire sale going on in Oakland.

Various media reports have the Cowboys picking up wide receiver Amari Cooper from the stumbling Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders will receive a first-round draft pick in exchange. It gives the Silver and Black three first-round picks in 2019 after receiving Chicago’s first-round pick in the Khalil Mack trade.

After Dallas’ 20-17 loss to Washington dropped them to 3-4 for the season, the trade could almost be considered an act of desperation to boost some life into the Cowboys’ sputtering offense. Dallas currently ranks 29th in the league with an average of 202.4 passing yards per game.

The Cowboys have found trouble getting much vertical passing after the departure of Dez Bryant in April and the retirement of Jason Witten.

Cooper, 24, was a Pro Bowler for the Raiders each in his first two seasons. But he has struggled recently with  22 catches for 280 yards this season after 48 receptions last year. The former Alabama standout currently is in the NFL’s concussion protocol after he was injured last week in the Raiders’ loss in London against the Seattle Seahawks.
