The mid-90s and sunshine will once again be the story for Corpus Christi, but the heat index values are predicted to be near 110 degrees. Try to avoid outdoor activity if possible, as heat illness such as heat stroke and heat exhaustion will set in quickly. If you must be outdoors, take frequent breaks in the air conditioning and drink lots of water.
High pressure will continue to dominate the area and strengthen over the weekend. This could result in record challenging warmth by Monday.
