CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi says the summer heat is causing water line breaks around the city. According to a press release from the City, severe heat and changing soil conditions can cause the ground to shift more abruptly.
The aging infrastructure and small increases in water pressure are also to blame for the increase in leaks causing low water pressure or complete water line breaks. The City says they are prioritizing leaks based on the severity of leak or break, location and date reported.
If you see a water line break, call the City Call Center at (361) 826-CITY (2489).
