CORPUS CHRISTI –  Steven Gomez loved life and he did his best to help others. He is being remembered by his brother Anthony Gomez who sat down with Action 10 News.

"My brother didn’t deserve it that way. Nobody deserves to die that way," said Gomez.

Steven Gomez was found shot to death inside his car in the 1400 block of Corban during the early morning hours of July 16th.

Police admit they have very few leads and information about the events leading up to the crime.

"We are following up on all leads we’ve gotten so far and we’re trying to determine exactly what happened and who committed this crime so we can get it solved," said CCPD’s Gena Pena.

Police are releasing very few details surrounding the murder. They want to make sure whoever comes forward can verify the information they already know. In the meantime, the Gomez family is trying to figure out why.

There remain many unanswered questions about this unsolved case, and the family is making a public plea to the community for answers.

"Anything, any information, any leads, anything you saw or heard, might know, please you don’t understand how much this would mean to our family, we need this closure," said Gomez.
