MATHIS – A resident of a lakeside subdivision has caught a 12-foot alligator said to have been "terrorizing" the neighborhood along Lake Corpus Christi.
Over in the Lakeshore Gardens subdivision in Mathis, residents reported an alligator had been terrorizing the neighborhood. There, a game warden and local resident had been hunting the gator for over a week, without success.
That changed Friday morning when the 12ft. 1in. gator was found dead on a trap line at the edge of the lake.
The gator had an estimated weight over 600 pounds.
