The Brooks County Judge is facing criminal charges.
County Judge Imelda Barrera was arrested Tuesday, June 19th after an investigation by the Falfurrias Police Department and the Texas Rangers.
She is charged with tampering with physical evidence which is a felony offense and criminal mischief and resisting arrest which are misdemeanor offenses.
She bonded out of jail within 24 hours.
