A local doctor and business owner has died after being pulled from gulf waters last Thursday, according to a social media post by family members.
Dr. Mackrizz was pulled from the surf last week when a surfer spotted him in the water. Mackrizz was in a coma for a few days before passing away over the weekend, according to family posts.
Dr. Mackrizz’s son, Alonso Mackrizz, said his father passed on Father’s Day, which also happened to be his birthday.
Previous posts by Alonso say that Dr. Mackrizz had swelling in his brain.
Dr. Mackrizz was an avid surfer and owned Costa Sur Wok and Ceviche Bar on the Island.
