ANGLETON, Texas (AP) – A relative of a Southeast Texas couple says the man and woman and their 5-year-old son missing for a week are believed to have been found dead.

Maria Kennedy, cousin of 24-year-old Maya Rivera, says relatives were told by Texas Rangers Saturday night that DNA tests will be needed to confirm the identities of Rivera, 28-year-old Rayshawn Hudson and their son, Rayshawn Jr.  The family lived in Angleton, just south of Houston.

Kennedy tells The Facts of Brazoria County that authorities say a man discovered driving Rivera’s car Thursday in Rosenberg is being charged with murder and that the sheriff’s office in nearby Wharton County also is involved in the case.

Rivera was last seen June 10 when she left a friend’s house to pick up Hudson in nearby Clute.
