The City says the new water tank on Holly Road is almost finished.  The tank which is also being called the Holly Road Elevated Storage Tank will be used starting a a few weeks.  It’s been under construction for a year.

The City says that as part of the commissioning process, aged water in the tank will need to be drained and refilled to help ensure that water quality standards are maintained in the distribution system when the tank becomes operational.

That means that residents should continue to look over faucets, pipes, hoses, and connectors.  And homes with irrigation systems will need to be adjusted.

Leaks can be detected in toilets by dropping leak detection tablets in them.  The City has FREE tablets available in the Information Booth at City Hall located at 1201 Leopard Street and at the Utilities Department located at 2726 Holly Road.
