CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The City of Corpus Christi Traffic Engineering office advises motorists starting Wednesday, June 6, through Friday, June 8, weather permitting, City contractors will be working on Chaparral Street from Taylor Street to IH-37, Coppers Alley to William Street, and on Lawrence Street from Mesquite Street to Chaparral Street. During this work, northbound Chaparral Street traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work sites.
Starting Monday, June 11, through Friday, June 15, weather permitting, the contractors will lay asphalt on Chaparral Street from Taylor Street to IH-37, Coppers Alley to William Street, and on Lawrence Street from Mesquite Street to Chaparral Street. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work sites.
The city reminds drivers to use caution when driving near the work zones and follow detour signs. Motorists should expect delays and if possible, seek alternate routes or avoid the area. Access to local driveways will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.
